Daily Delight Devotions 2/6/10
John chapter 21 & Proverbs chapter 6
Exodus chapter 23-24 & Psalms chapter 37
We will finish the book of John today. :-)
Tomorrow we will begin the book of Hebrews then come back and pick up the book of Mark.
Jesus did many other things as well. If everyone of them were written down, I supose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written. John 21:25

Daily Delight Devotions 2/4/10
John chapters 17-18 & Proverbs chapter 4
Exodus chapters 19-20 & Psalms chapter 35
Proverb for today:
My son pay attention to what I say, listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body. Above all else gaurd your heart for it is a wellspring of life. Proverbs 4:20-24
This made me think of the post "Listen Carefully"
Sometimes to really listen you have to be still.
We are living in a very fast paced world.
Do take time today to slow down and listen.
Time is moving quickly, have you noticed how months seem as weeks and weeks seem as days? It is like we have been caught up in whirlwind of fast moving time. I for one refuse to let it rob me of my Be Still time with my creator that I may listen carefully and closely to His words. Those words are tucked safely away into my heart. My heart is well gaurded so that which I have found can not be stolen away. His words are a wellspring of life....
Lord, Thank you for the quiet moments we spend together....

Ordinary People
John chapters 15-16 & Proverbs chapter 3

A Psalm for today:
A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them ALL. Psalm 34:19
None of us are above the turbulence of life. It is very comforting to know that He will deliver us. I do believe we are heading into a time of grand deliverence. Closed doors will open and new opportunities will arise. For those who are set on serving God they will walk in awe. Through God ordinary people can acheive the extraordinary. As I have journeyed through God's word, in so many cases I see Him choosing very ordinary people to accomplish His agenda. Many of them had made such horrible mistakes in their lives as in David but because David's heart was so set on God, the Lord could not resist him and the Lord worked powerfully in His life. Have you ever just come to the place where you review your life and you just want all the uglies to go away? That place can be had through Christ. Christ is blowing a fresh new breath into the hearts of those who are seeking Him and I for one will not miss out on that...
Lord my heart is after you and even though it may experience the troubles of the world on occassion, I know that you are willing to touch it and make it better. Thank you for your presence in my life....
