There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the Lord. The horse is made ready for the day of battle , but the victory rests with the Lord. Proverbs 21:30-31
When we are standing firm with the Lord on His word, no weapon formed against us can prevail....

The Heavens
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.
Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge.
There is no speech or lanquage where their voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out into all the earth; their words to the ends of the world.
I love this passage which was from our readings yesterday. It is the first four verses in Psalms chapter 19.
When you look at the heavens you can not help but marvel. Eyes and ears all over the earth have access to it at all times.
If you have not seen the film, "The Star of Bethlehem" you really must. Psalm Chapter 19 will come to life for you after you see this film. Everytime I watch this film I get the Holy goose bumps...

The Lamp of the Lord searches the spirit of a man; it searches out his inmost being. Proverbs 20:27

You may have noticed that somehow we skipped right over the book of Mark. It was not until this morning that I became consciously aware that it had happened that way. I suspect yesterdays highlight would be the reason why. "Listen Carefully"

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe. Proverbs 18:10
O' how I love that name, "Yeshua"
The tongue has the power of life and death in it.... Proverbs 18:21
Be careful how you use it...

Luke 8:39- "Return home and tell how much God has done for you." So the man went away and told all over town what Jesus had done for him.
Luke 8:56- Her parents were astonished, but He ordered them not to tell anyone what had happened.
The different responses caught my attention. One He told to tell the other He told not to tell.
Have a blessed day.

A Servants Heart
Today the pastor at the church I have been attending is going to speak on servanthood. I am looking forward to hearing the message the Lord has laid on his heart.
In my readings this week, it has been very clear that having a servants heart means that you are obedient even when what the Lord is asking you to do makes no sense to you at all at the time. God is the orchestrator of perfect timing and circumstance, no plan of His will be thwarted. He knows what He is doing we just have to trust that and walk in obedience. If we disregard a prompting of His you can bet your boots, he will find another servant who is ready with the right response to walk in His wisdom. As I read the account of Simon this morning it gave me what I call Holy goose bumps. The Lord says to Simon, " Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch." Deep water, I love that, simply because I know that the Lord calls us into that deep water often and He keeps us afloat. That is those who have their complete trust in Him. As we continue on, Simon answers the Lord, "Master, we have worked hard all night and haven't caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets." Did you hear it, Simon did not understand how this would be, but with a servants heart he obeyed the Lord's command. How delighted Simon must have been at the outcome. When you are obedient to His word you can not help but be delighted. There is always blessing and sweet delight that follows obedience.
Do you have a servants heart today? Are you walking in God's infinite wisdom and not your own?

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart."
The desire of my heart for what you will find to be a delightfully divine journey is that Christ the Lord breath His reviving breath upon your spirit, and that you realize not only is He who He says He is, but also that you see and accept that you are who He says you are as well. The two go hand in hand. The deeper things of God will come to a heart that is set on Him and who is dedicated to the following two things: time in His word and time spent in holy conversation (prayer) with Him. I believe His word, so I know that if you are here reading this now, it shall be so for you.
