Power Filled Faith-Mark 5
A verse that is very fascinating to me is contained within this chapter. Verse 30.
At once Jesus realized that power had gone out of Him.He turned around in the crowd and asked, "who touched my clothes?" In verse 34 He says to the women, "Daughter, your faith has healed you."
This makes me think of all the prayers that bombard heaven. Regardless of how many are coming at Him, you can be sure that He can detect those that are sent from a heart of faith. Our faith draws power directly from Him, think about that... it does require ACTion...the women had to reach out and touch His garment and through her faith she drew power from Him. Notice that the Lord did not say, My power has healed you, He said to her that her faith healed her. Her faith was the conduit for the power to flow through and be directed to her need. To me, that is a powerful truth to grab on to...
Open up your heart of faith today, reach out with it and touch the hem of His garment so that His power will flow through to your need...
Today I just want to send out praises to the Lord, He is doing awesome things amonst us. I love you Lord and praise you with all my heart...

LISTEN
Ears That Hear
Wow, there is so much in this chapter...I chose to read this chapter a second time and when I did this is what grabbed me. "Listen", he says in verse three. Then in verse 9 he commands, "He who has ears to hear, let him hear." He then commands in verse 23, " If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear." Finally in verse 24 he instructs them to, "Consider carefully what you hear."
In this chapter he is telling kingdom truths with the use of parables. What I find so interesting is the word that starts off the first parable (LISTEN) and then the words He spoke in between those parables.
If you do not stop to really listen, you have absolutely no chance in hearing. The second thing I noted was there are obviously those who already have those ears to hear kingdom truths and Jesus commands their ears to be open. He then commands and opens the ears of anyone else who wants those ears. It is interesting that His chosen twelve did not already have those ears, but it is clear they wanted them. In verse 34 we are told that when He was alone with His own disciples He explained everything to them.
The question today is simple, have we sat alone with Jesus so that He may explain? If you are reading this, you want those ears and may even already have them. Sit with Him today and Listen, then consider carefully what you hear...
Lord, we want our spiritual ears to be open so that we may hear. Bless each one of us today with kingdom truths that only ears that Listen can hear. In your name Yeshua I ask and believe...

His Point of View
"Jesus went up on a mountainside and called to Him those he wanted, and they came to Him." Mark 3:13
This verse caused me to think of John 10:4, in which Jesus says the following, "When He has brought out all His own, He goes on a head of them, and His sheep follow because they know His voice."
An interesting thing to note is that when Jesus called those he wanted, they also must of had to go up. Regardless of the valley or low place that we may be in, when Jesus calls, we know His voice and we go up to where He is. It may very well be a steep climb, but when you get there, it is well worth the view. Seeing from His point of view trumps ours without question.
Are you seeing from a mountainside today?
Lord, thank you for the view and I thank you for all the surprises along the way up. With love your delighted one...

Determined Faith
In reflecting on our reading yesterday of the 2nd chapter of Mark, I thought about the hearts of those four men that were determined to get this paralytic man to Jesus. They were so determined to get their friend to Jesus that they hoisted the man, cot and all up to the roof top, then dug through the roof in order to lower this man down to Jesus. When Jesus saw this ACT He was no doubt amazed by their determined faith. I see not only faith here but a determined, loyal friendship. These men, who were they? They obviously had unwavering love for the paralytic man to go to such great lengths to get him to Jesus. It makes me wonder how many friends do we have that would go to those lengths and are we ourselves friends of that kind to others? It made me think of facebook, it tickles me to see that some people are quite popular apparently with 400 or so plus friends. I wondered how many of those friend listed would truly go to such great lengths to get their friend to Jesus.
I am very blessed to know that I have a small circle of friends that without doubt would go to bat for me in an hour of darkness and I would do the same...I pray that you have this type of reciprocated friendship... the surest way to get that kind of friendship is to be that kind of friend...
Lord, I thank you with all of my heart for each person that reads this blog and for each and every friend that you have blessed me with. May I myself be a determined unwavering friend to those you place in my path. In your name Yeshua I ask and believe...

At Once
In Mark chapter one something immediately popped out at me; the term, "at once." Jesus does not delay...His ACTions are immediate. In verse 1:14 Jesus says, "The time has come." As I reflected on this chapter, I began to consider that any time we feel a nudge from the Lord to move, the ACTion should be immediate, when the Lord says the time has come to do something, the time is now not later.
There is something else I want to point out and highlight about verse 35. It says that Jesus got up while it was still dark and went out to a solitary place to pray. Jesus went out while it was still dark. He is the light. Sometimes when we feel we are in a dark solitary place the thing to do is pray. His light will illuminate the darkness, just trust in Him.
If the Lord is nudging today, do not delay. If you are in a dark and lonely place, reach up with your prayers and He will touch you. Remember the the man with leprocy in verse 40, there is no doubt that he was in a lonely place and as he kneeled before the Lord and spoke these words, "if you are willing Lord you can make me clean." The Lords Immediate response to him was and is the same to you, Jesus reached out His and hand, touched the man and said, "I am willing."
Lord forgive me for the times that I have may have delayed in my response to you. Lord , you know the hearts that are out there seeking you from a dark lonesome place and even now as I send this prayer up, I know that you are illuminating those hearts with your hand of hope now. I just thank you and praise you for your faithfulness and everlasting love. In your name Yeshua I ask and believe...selah

A Servants Heart
Well I do hope you enjoyed the Book of Esther yesterday. Today we are going to go back and pick up the book of Mark. We are going to slow down a bit and read 1 chapter a day. The book of Mark focuses more on the ACTions of Jesus than on His words. The whole ministry of Jesus centers around Him being a servant to all and giving His life as a ransom to many. Keep that tucked within your awareness as you read trhough the book of Mark with me.
ACTing on our faith requires a servants heart...
Lord, open our eyes and ears that we may see and hear as we follow you through the book of Mark. In your name Yeshua I ask and believe...

Quiet Dignity
"Queen Esther"
Please read the book of Esther today in honor of Purim...
God bless you greatly...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What a book...reads like a fairy tale...did you notice that the name of God was never mentioned in the book? Although His name is not mentioned, you can see His hand in it. I hope you had the time to read it yesterday.
After I read the book I began thinking about Queen Esther's quiet dignity and a scripture from Isaiah came to me: "In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and confidence shall be your strength." Isaiah 30:15
Apparently she was a beautiful women outwardly just as Queen Vashti was. The difference was that Esther had an inward quiet beauty.
My own reflection on this book is that it is inward beauty and the light of Christ that draw people.
"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart."
The desire of my heart for what you will find to be a delightfully divine journey is that Christ the Lord breath His reviving breath upon your spirit, and that you realize not only is He who He says He is, but also that you see and accept that you are who He says you are as well. The two go hand in hand. The deeper things of God will come to a heart that is set on Him and who is dedicated to the following two things: time in His word and time spent in holy conversation (prayer) with Him. I believe His word, so I know that if you are here reading this now, it shall be so for you.
