He became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs. Hebrews 1:4
Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation? Hebrews 1:14
Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it. Hebrews 13:2
Did you notice how the first chapter in this book begins with talking about angels and the Lord's superiority to them? Did you notice that the last chapter also references angels? Our eyes are to first and foremost always be fixed on Christ. I have seen where some have been transfixed on the angels and lost sight of the one who is superior. That will surely take one down the highway of unhappiness.
Take note of the definition given here of what an angel is, " a ministering spirit sent to serve". An angelic encounter is something, but an intimate relationship with Christ the Lord is beyond all words. Above all else I cherish that relationship. Having said that I do take heed and pay attention to the strangers I encounter. I ask myself, " is this an encounter where they have come to minister to me or is it an encounter where I am called to minister to them?" Every encounter has its possibilities and opportunities. I believe God uses His earthly angels just as much as he uses His heavenly ones. The way I see it, is that with each encounter of a stranger , God is making a connection and we are to be alert and discerning on just what that connection is to be. Three possibilities exist: the stranger has been sent to minister to me or I am the stranger sent to minister to them or maybe it is both... think about it. We are here to serve...
Lord I thank you today for the endless opportunities and possibilities of not only having an angelic encounter in which you have sent one to minister to me but also for opening my eyes in the times that it is I who You have sent to minister. My humble heart adores and thanks you for your faithfulness in my life....

Hold Tight
Todays readings:
Hebrews chp. 9-10 & Proverbs chp. 11
Exodus chp. 33-34 & Psalms 42
Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how we may spur one another on to love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some of us are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another-and all the more as you see the day approaching. Hebrews 23-25
The one thing I love to do is to spur another person on. I hope that the things that are posted here are an encouragement to you. No matter who you are, a word that is spoken from the heart with a smile is always uplifting....Know that I am writing with a smile and telling you that you are loved by Him today, continue to hold on tight to hope because He is absolutely faithful...

Solid Food
Solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil. Hebrews 6:14
In the book of Hebrews there is a theme: what we call christianity is more than just a religion, it is a relationship with Christ the Lord. There are elementary aspects to beginning a relationship and then there are the mature aspects of growing in a relationship. I believe as we grow in our relationship with Christ we receive the higher things of God. Things that are unsearchable. Solid food. We first have to be well grounded in the elmentary, but we can not remain and continue on living on the milk alone. We can not remain as an infant.
Are you maturing in Christ? Is your relationship with Christ so close that you have trained yourself to see as He sees? Can you distinguish good from evil?
Lord Thank you for eyes that see and ears that hear. Thank you for your love for me and the relationship that we have....I praise you that what you have provided us is more than ritualistic religion...

Something About Today
But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called TODAY... Heberws 3:13
TODAY, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.... Hebrews 4:7
I want to do as the scripture instructs, I want to encourage you and tell you that you are dearly loved by Him TODAY... so put away all unbelief, for with it you can not enter in to that place of rest and peace TODAY.
TODAY is the day the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it....
Thank you Lord for TODAY. For another opportunity to be prosperous & productive for you....

The Gate
"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him..." John 6:44
"I tell you the truth I am the gate..." John 10:7
"I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6
Wow...We have completed another book...
The book of John was written by John for a very specific reason, "that you may BELIEVE that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by BELIEVING you may have life in His name" (John 20:31)
John clearly presents Jesus as the Son of God. A keyword throughout the book is Believe. I just posted on another blog about how once you walk in God's love and favor nothing can sererate you from it. For me there is not any place in the world that can compare. It all begins with believing and taking small steps of faith through the Gate. Before long believing becomes a knowing and small steps of faith become bigger steps of faith.
There is alot of other things to believe in out there, but I tell you the truth, the others that I experienced never brought peace that passes all understanding, only uneasiness. There is only one way to the Father and that is through Jesus, the Gate....

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart."
The desire of my heart for what you will find to be a delightfully divine journey is that Christ the Lord breath His reviving breath upon your spirit, and that you realize not only is He who He says He is, but also that you see and accept that you are who He says you are as well. The two go hand in hand. The deeper things of God will come to a heart that is set on Him and who is dedicated to the following two things: time in His word and time spent in holy conversation (prayer) with Him. I believe His word, so I know that if you are here reading this now, it shall be so for you.
