Relentless Pursuit

"Where can I go from your spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens; you are there; if I make my bed in the depths your are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast." Psalm 139:7-10

My daughter called this evening to tell me about an experience she had at the Dollar Tree this afternoon. She was engaged in her love of shopping when up over the isles of merchandise she heard a man merrily singing a song of praise, "Thank you Lord for these great bargains in this store... praise the Lord, amen...amen..." within moments the man was slipping past her with a, " God bless you," directed at her. She replied, "same to you."

When it was time to check out, another man prompted a conversation with her asking, " are you pro -life or pro -choice?" Her reply," pro-life." At that he took out his wallet and said, " I have a story to share with you." He had a picture of a baby in his wallet. I am not going to go into the details of the story except to say, had this man not been perfectly in sync with God's perfect timing and circumstance, he would not have been able to share such an incredible story. If he should happen onto this blog maybe he can share the story in own words should he feel compelled. My point in sharing my daughters experience is that when God is in pursuit of you, He will make His presence known to you no matter where you are and through whatever means He can to make you notice Him....I have been praying to Him for a relentless pursuit of my two grown children and I am confident he has heard me...

Praise the Lord that someone was bold enough to thank God, right there in front of everyone! I wonder if the man was doing his Christmas shopping there, and was being thankful because he had a place to go in order to put something under the tree??? I pray that this man will receive unexpected blessings spiritually, and financially for the best Christmas he has ever had IN JESUS NAME AMEN! I also pray for the man that stepped out in Faith to share a story with a stranger without worrying about her reaction. That his obedience and trust will produce a stronger Faith in him as well as your Daughter, that will eventually lead to Joy and inner peace that is unexplainable. What a wonderful prayer. You have encouraged me to pray the same for my son.

I was at a store a couple of weeks ago. I picked up a cart that someone had left in the middle of the parking lot. I will usually try to take these in with me to make the jobs of the workers easier. You ever seen them trying to haul a load of carts in and have to stop the train in order to pick up a stray cart? Anyway, the cart was one that kept swaying to the side, like a car with a really bad alignment. It was pulling. As I returned it to the coral for a new one, the thought had popped into my head that God was trying to tell me that the cart was an analogy for the way that I have been behaving with Him and His guidance. Like a Shepherd with His staff prodding His sheep, to get back in the group and stop trying to stray from His path. It is a lot more on paper than it was in my mind, because in the time I had completed this thought, I had my hand on my new cart, and could not wait to get rid of the one that was causing me so much trouble. As I walked away with my new cart, I giggled and let God know ok I get it, because the new cart was just as bad if not worse. I feel like He was telling me that even though my behavior was the same as that cart, He would pick me all over again any time. So, yes I agree with you when you say, He will make His presence known to you, no matter where you are and through whatever means He can to make you notice Him. It is just a matter of being open and paying attention to the small Voice. He seems to prefer to take the little things of this world to make a big impact.

You are such a blessing and an encouragement! Thank you for sharing your heart and personal life with us! You are the little person in this world making a big impact! WDGAFS!

Thank you for your comments. It is always such a blessing to know that something you have said or done has encouraged another person.

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart."

The desire of my heart for what you will find to be a delightfully divine journey is that Christ the Lord breath His reviving breath upon your spirit, and that you realize not only is He who He says He is, but also that you see and accept that you are who He says you are as well. The two go hand in hand. The deeper things of God will come to a heart that is set on Him and who is dedicated to the following two things: time in His word and time spent in holy conversation (prayer) with Him. I believe His word, so I know that if you are here reading this now, it shall be so for you.

My faith is what moves me , it is enjoyable, irresistable, lovely and warm with a sense of mystery. Its like a summer day with a gentle breeze blowing my hair, like a butterfly emerging from a cacoon, like a flower pushing its way through the soil of the earth, like a hidden treasure waiting to be found, yes it is my faith that defines me and I am completely content regardless of what goes on around me...My life with Yeshua is like a well written novel that I can not and will not put down... My greatest desire is to be used by Him to touch hearts without religiousity, denominationalism or legalism. One heart at a time. God Bless All from Shelli
