Hebraic Roots

I have been consumed with learning about the Hebraic roots of the Christian faith. When I think about Yeshua, I am so deeply drawn into those roots. The more that I move into that place of understanding, the stronger those roots become in my life. I can not help but see the foreshadows of things that have come and things that are yet to come in the celebrations of the Jewish festivals & holidays. God is the orchestrator of perfect timing and circumstance.

Mathew 5:17 speaks to me and says  that Yeshua did not come to start a new religion, he came to fulfill the ancient Hebraic laws and Prophecies of the Isrealites. It has never been about religion, it has always been about a relationship with the Creator.

One day recently,  I was following the Lord's lead and came upon something that read as follows, to be Christian simply means, "to follow the annointed one." I am a follower of Christ the Lord and I am so blessed that through Him I have been grafted in. Not serparated out into a new religion but grafted into the blessings & promises of His chosen people, Israel. To be a child of God with the knowledge and understanding of who you are in Him is sheer delight that words can not express.

Dig deep into His word today Dear One and discover who you are in Him. May He richly bless the reading of His word for you today and always....

As always I am praying for the peace of Jerusalem and for the beloved Jewish people today...

"Do not think that I came to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them." Mat 5:17

AMEN!! In Paul's words:

Phil 3:1 Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord! It is no trouble for me to write the same things to you again, and it is a safeguard for you.
Phil 3:2 Watch out for those dogs, those men who do evil, those mutilators of the flesh.
Phil 3:3 For it is we who are the circumcision, we who worship by the Spirit of God, who glory in Christ Jesus, and who put no confidence in the flesh—
Phil 3:4 though I myself have reasons for such confidence. If anyone else thinks he has reasons to put confidence in the flesh, I have more:
Phil 3:5 circumcised on the eighth day, of the people of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews; in regard to the law, a Pharisee;
Phil 3:6 as for zeal, persecuting the church; as for legalistic righteousness, faultless.
Phil 3:7 But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.
Phil 3:8 What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ
Phil 3:9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.
Phil 3:10 I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,
Phil 3:11 and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart."

The desire of my heart for what you will find to be a delightfully divine journey is that Christ the Lord breath His reviving breath upon your spirit, and that you realize not only is He who He says He is, but also that you see and accept that you are who He says you are as well. The two go hand in hand. The deeper things of God will come to a heart that is set on Him and who is dedicated to the following two things: time in His word and time spent in holy conversation (prayer) with Him. I believe His word, so I know that if you are here reading this now, it shall be so for you.

About Me

My photo
My faith is what moves me , it is enjoyable, irresistable, lovely and warm with a sense of mystery. Its like a summer day with a gentle breeze blowing my hair, like a butterfly emerging from a cacoon, like a flower pushing its way through the soil of the earth, like a hidden treasure waiting to be found, yes it is my faith that defines me and I am completely content regardless of what goes on around me...My life with Yeshua is like a well written novel that I can not and will not put down... My greatest desire is to be used by Him to touch hearts without religiousity, denominationalism or legalism. One heart at a time. God Bless All from Shelli
