The Right Response

To be a believer, we not only have to believe God is who He says is, but also that we are who God says we are. It is the second part there, that seems to be most difficult for me at times. Has the Lord whisphered incredible things into your heart only to have you respond as I sometimes do, "Are you sure you have the right person Lord?" What a question, of course He is. He is God.

Forgive us Lord for our moments of disbelief, I repent right now for my own moments of disbelief, help us to respond according to you will as Mary did. In Christ name I pray.

On May 19th, 2009 I journaled the following and posted it on my website and feel it deserves a post here as well. In order to experience a Christ Powered Revival, we have to respond accordingly.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
During my quiet time with the Lord, I was thanking him for the many ways he has blessed my life and how I have felt his favor upon me. I was moved to read the 1st chapter of Luke and as I read the accounts of the angelic visitation to Zechariah and then to Mary, I was suddenly awakened to the difference in their responses to the Angel of the Lord. It is so profound to me that here Zechariah was standing right at the alter, wouldn't you think that there of all places he would be willing to accept a miracle from God but instead he questioned in disbelief "how can I be sure of this?" for that his tongue was bound until John was born. Then we have Mary, the angel greets her with "Greetings you who are highly favored by God", I can almost see her puzzled little face thinking "me highly favored by God, who am I?" very humble... as the angel continued to tell her what was about to happen to her, she questioned not in disbelief, she questioned as one just wanting to know how God was going to do this "how will this be, since I am a virgin?" she had already accepted the miracle would be she just wanted to know how. I love her words to the angel
" I am the Lord's servant, may it be to me as you have said"
Take time to reflect on what your responses to the Lord have been, do they align with Zechariah or with Mary? One day last summer, I was praying silently to myself about something huge the Lord was revealing to me and I questioned " How can you be sharing this with me Lord, I am just a small person in this world?" That very moment my then 6 year old walked in from the another room and Said "Mommy, you know little hands can make a big difference" I wept before the Lord as I understood the words he had sent my son in with, when God is in control it does not matter how big or little we are in the eyes of the world , what matters is who He knows we are in Him and that we are willing to accept it.
Are you willing to accept who you are in Christ? He is waiting for a response. He is at the door. Will yours be a response of disbelief or a response of acceptance?
Just as surely as the Lord instructed me to teach, "Christ Powered Revival, CPR for the spirit" I know that it will be accomplished not by power, not by might but by His spirit. The same spirit that came over Mary and she conceived, the same spirit that raised Christ up on the 3rd day, the same spirit that blew the breath of life into the valley of dry bones. Praise God for His Holy Spirit that moves about the earth looking for those who are ready with the right response.
I am the Lord's Delighted Servant, may it be to me as you have said Lord....
Wow, God truly is working in wonderous ways right now. This story of Luke 1 is all around us! Mary's song is the song that we are to have in our hearts and share with others. The Song of thankfulness and Belief in the Promises of the Lord.
I am repenting with you delighted servant!
"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart."
The desire of my heart for what you will find to be a delightfully divine journey is that Christ the Lord breath His reviving breath upon your spirit, and that you realize not only is He who He says He is, but also that you see and accept that you are who He says you are as well. The two go hand in hand. The deeper things of God will come to a heart that is set on Him and who is dedicated to the following two things: time in His word and time spent in holy conversation (prayer) with Him. I believe His word, so I know that if you are here reading this now, it shall be so for you.
My faith is what moves me , it is enjoyable, irresistable, lovely and warm with a sense of mystery. Its like a summer day with a gentle breeze blowing my hair, like a butterfly emerging from a cacoon, like a flower pushing its way through the soil of the earth, like a hidden treasure waiting to be found, yes it is my faith that defines me and I am completely content regardless of what goes on around me...My life with Yeshua is like a well written novel that I can not and will not put down... My greatest desire is to be used by Him to touch hearts without religiousity, denominationalism or legalism. One heart at a time. God Bless All from Shelli
